MSI is planning a 49-inch 240Hz QD OLED monitor

The manufacturer MSI is certainly known to PC gamers. The company has now announced a very exciting monitor: it will be a gaming machine with a QD-OLED panel, a diagonal of 49 inches and a refresh rate of 240 Hz. The screen will be presented at CES 2023.

The QD OLED monitor currently goes under the name Project 491C at MSI, but that probably won’t be the final name. Incidentally, in the style of Homer Simpson, this is an oversized model in an apparently 32:9 format. MSI is still silent on other technical data. You probably don’t want to cut the wind from your sails before CES 2023.

You can calculate that the panel must be from Samsung Display, as there are currently no other QD OLED panel vendors. It is therefore very likely that other partners such as Samsung Electronics and Alienware will also present counterparts in the future.
