Ronaldo Beats Messi As Instagram's Most Powerful Player

When the World Cup starts in two months, it seems likely that Cristiano Ronaldo, who plays for Portugal and Manchester United, will be the best player in the world.

A list compiled by sports media experts Nielsen placed Ronaldo in first place, surpassing Lionel Messi in the process.

Using Nielsen's custom-made influencer metric, the rankings were made based on Instagram data from August 2021 to July 2022.

It looks at Instagram followers, the rate of new followers, how engaged people are with the content, and the average brand value per post.

When all the data was put together, Ronaldo came out on top in the World Cup race, with a pretty big lead over his competitors.

Nielsen has made rankings of the best men's national teams as well as the best players who will be at the World Cup.
