Werewolf By Night Marvel Studios

Werewolf by Night has the least number Marvel characters of any MCU movie since, the MCU even existed. That's a good thing.

The Oscar-winning composer Michael Giacchino directed the 53-minute short film. On October 7, Disney+ will air this first "Marvel Studios Special Presentation."

The cinematic version of the Marvel Comics horror figure is distinct. It shows a new view of the universe while paying homage to monsters and monster flicks.

Gael Garca Bernal plays Jack Russell, one of numerous "monster hunters" competing for the Bloodstone, an ancient relic with exceptional powers.

Elsa Bloodstone, played by Laura Donnelly, is one of the people competing. Her father owned the stone, but she's not interested in it.

Elsa, Jack, and a few other people have to compete to kill a mythical creature and, most likely, each other. The winner gets the Bloodstone.

Since it's a short film, Giacchino doesn't waste time. He outlines the world, the stakes, and the competition before starting the race.

About halfway through, things change around, which isn't shocking if you know the comics or if you look at the title and think, "Oh, is there a werewolf?"

This speed hurts the movie a little bit because so many characters and events happen so quickly that you can't really enjoy them.

Even though you wish there were more characters and action, the film stands out because everything is played with such pulpy camp.
